  • Schauna Chauhan is an Indian Businesswoman. She is the daughter of Prakash Chauhan, founder of ‘Parle Argo,’ one of the largest beverage companies in India that own Frooti, Appy, LMN, Hippo, and Bailley brands.
  • In childhood, she used to visit the bottling plant of the company by her father. In an interview, she said that she always wanted to become a part of her father’s business. She said,

    By the time I started high school, I knew I wanted to join the family business.”

  • After completing her graduation from Business School Lausanne, Switzerland, she joined her father’s business in 1999, as an executive director, at the age of 22.
  • In 2006, she took over the company ‘Parle Argo’ as a CEO.
  • Schauna tries to expand the business at a low cost by finding innovative ways. In 2016, she established a highly automated manufacturing plant in Uttarakhand, and in 2018, she set up an automated plant in Mysuru, Karnataka, to increase sales in southern parts of India. She talked about this in an interview and said,

    It is a plant that has been designed with the best process flow for manufacturing? We are also focusing a lot on simplifying the business with the use of automation.”

  • The company has only seven manufacturing units when it was taken over by Sachauna. With her innovative ideas and hard work, she managed to grow the company to thirteen manufacturing units by 2022.
  • Apart from heading the head office of the company in Mumbai, she also has the responsibility of supervising the company’s business in foreign countries like the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and UAE.
  • In an interview, she expressed her desire of becoming a lawyer had she not stepped into her father’s business.
